The Demo

Absolutely incredible Dry Pigmet PBk11 (Mars Oxide Black) from Renesans is the most spectacular transparent black pigment with an expansive value range and pigment particles which react like magnetic shavings attracting and repelling each other. Unique pigment properties make Mars Oxide Black a radically reticulating color. When dry, a PBk11 pigment wash looks like a moonscape. This mottled stony texture can be successfully glazed. You can even gently paint into a wet-to-damp pigment, dropping into the watery pigment, virtually any combination of your favorite colors. Mars Oxide Black is a wonderful mixer adding exciting black granulation to the mix! Mars Oxide Black is a beautiful transparent black pigment with a slightly warm color.

Work with Dry Pigment is a play or dance of pigment particles and water. This technique is an adventure, it surprises and teaches humility and definitely gives new possibilities and ways of interpreting watercolors
